Today, Julia Child would have been 100 years old.
Without her....food TV would not exist, none of us could be foodies or even know what that means, and the American culinary landscape would be barren.
We owe it all to her and her robust personality. She is a gastronomic legend.
All across Boston and Cambridge especially, tributes to Julia are happening. Her favorite store, Savenor's, is serving birthday cake, there is a symposium being held at the Harvard Radcliffe Schlesinger Library, and more.
Happy Birthday to you, Julia!! You are our hero.
